Cookie Policy
Last updated 12 June 2026 · Effective 3 June 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (local storage) that GG uses, why, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy and reflects the EU ePrivacy ("cookie") rules, which require consent for non-essential cookies.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small files placed on your device; local storage is similar browser storage. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. We keep this footprint deliberately small.
2. Cookies we use
| Name / type | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / auth | Strictly necessary | Keeps you securely signed in and protects against cross-site request forgery | Session / until sign-out |
| theme | Strictly necessary (preference) | Remembers your light/dark theme choice (stored in local storage) | Until you clear it |
| Analytics (if enabled) | Analytics — consent required | Measures aggregate, de-identified usage to improve the product | Up to 13 months |
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to work and do not need consent. Any analytics or non-essential cookies are only set with your consent where the law requires it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
3. Third-party cookies
Some sub-processors may set cookies when their features are used — for example our payment processor on checkout pages, for fraud prevention. See the sub-processor list for who they are and links to their own cookie/privacy notices.
4. How to control cookies
- Where we offer a consent banner or preferences control, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies and change your choice later.
- Your browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break sign-in and core features.
- Most browsers honour the “Global Privacy Control” signal; where required we treat it as a valid opt-out.
5. Changes & contact
We update this policy as our cookie use changes; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Questions go to legal@taskgg.com.
